WiscList - Approving Moderated Messages

If a WiscList is moderated, list administrators must approve messages before they are posted to the list. When a message is received by the list, it is stored in an approval queue. You will be notified via email when there is a new message awaiting approval. There are two ways you can approve or reject the message.

Approve/Reject via WiscList Admin

  1. Log in to the WiscList Admin and click My Lists.
  2. Any lists that have messages awaiting approval will have a link directly below the list name that will say: [#] message(s) need approval. Clicking this link will bring you to a screen displaying all messages awaiting approval for that list.
  3. Choose to approve or reject the message by clicking Send Mailing or Reject.

Approve/Reject via Email

List administrators will be notified by email when a message is pending approval. This email will contain a direct link to the message that will look something like this:

You can follow this direct link to the message: https://admin.lists.wisc.edu/index.php?p=38&m=14241110

Follow the link in the email, then choose to approve or reject the message by clicking Send Mailing or Reject.
