- Issues accessing service when FERPA privacy is invoked

When attempting to access training resources, you may encounter trouble accessing the service. Affected users receive a 'login error' after logging into This is caused by FERPA privacy protection being invokved on the user's NetID.


After logging into as described in - Accessing online training via your NetID, affected users will receive the following error:

Login errorThe information needed to create or locate your account is not available or could not be read. Please contact your account administrator to assure that your information is complete and correct.


This issue is generally caused by FERPA protections associated with the user's NetID. If you have enabled FERPA protection via Student Center for any of your personal information, you will be unable to use or other third-party services. If you have enabled FERPA protection and want to use, you will need to remove FERPA protections. See Student Center - Updating your Privacy (FERPA) settings for more information about updating your FERPA settings.
