A photo ID will be required at the polls for upcoming elections. Most UW-Madison students will still be able to use a Wisconsin driver’s license or State of Wisconsin ID, which already meet voter ID requirements.

Free Voter ID cards can be obtained by UW-Madison students now, or in the future, at the Wiscard Office at Union South. Bring a valid Wiscard; the process takes a matter of minutes.

If you are a U.S. citizen, will be 18 years of age on or before Election Day and have resided in Wisconsin for at least 28 consecutive days before election day, you are eligible to vote in Wisconsin.
