Course Proposal - How do I change my email notifications on the course proposal process online system?
Change email notifications in User Settings.
There are three roles within the course proposal process online system: Proposers, Approvers and Watchers. Proposers do not have the option to change email notification and will receive an email every time there is an update. Approvers and Watchers can change their email notifications in User Settings.
Approvers and Watchers can select the frequency they wish to receive email notifications: Every Occurrence, Hourly, Daily, or Never. Choose a frequency that is appropriate to your role in the course proposal process. Individuals who most closely monitor course proposals for their unit will likely choose frequent notification. Use caution when choosing 'Never'. If you have approval authority for your academic unit, your responsibility for the course proposal remains even if you have turned off email notification.
A user can change the frequency of the notification for any of the following:
- Assigned: An email is sent when a proposal has been assigned to the user’s work group/academic unit for review.
- Approved: An email is sent when a proposal has been approved by any work group/academic unit within the process.
- Comment Added: An email is sent whenever someone within the process adds a comment.
- Past Due: An email is sent when a proposal needing their work group/academic unit’s approval is past due. Subject owners (that is, departments and programs) will receive a Past Due email notification 2 weeks after being assigned a proposal. Schools and colleges will receive Past Due email notification 6 weeks after being assigned a proposal.
