ISIS/Advisor Center - Student Photo

Advisors can view the photo of an advisee within the 'my advisees' and 'general info' pages in the Advisor Center.

Student photos used for the Advisor Center come from the Wiscard Photo Id System.  Any student who has had a photo taken at the Wiscard office since June of 2008, should display.  Student photos taken before June of 2008, are not available for display in the Advisor Center.

Please Note: Student photos are private, non-directory information and protected under federal law (FERPA).  Non-directory information must be protected at all times. The use of photos is for the legitimate educational interest of the advisor only. Proper care should be taken to protect the privacy of your students.

To access an advisee photo from the my advisee page, click the  PhotoIcon.jpg icon in the photo column.

The photo is produced in a new window, so be sure your pop-up blocker is set to allow pop-ups.  If an advisor has logged directly into ISIS and did not log in through the MyUW portal, the advisor will need to provide their portal login and password the first time they request a photo in that session.  You might need to adjust the pop-up blocker setting on your browser.   Information can be found at Web Browsers - Popup Blockers.

For Internet Explorer Only -  If you select the  PhotoIcon and the page flashes and disappears, check the following:

>Tools > Internet Options > Security > Verify that the ‘Internet’ icon is highlighted and click on ‘Custom Level’.  Scroll to ‘Downloads’ and verify that automatic prompting for Downloads is set to ‘Enable’.
