SIS - Service Indicators/Holds: View

A Service Indicator, often referred to as a hold, that is on a student’s record indicates something that has been completed or needs to be completed, such as meet with an advisor or pay a fee. You can view the service indicators on a student's record.


To view service indicators, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Manage Service Indicators page using either:
    • - Search: Manage Service Indicators; or
      - Tile: Student Records WorkCenter; or
      - NavBar >Navigator: >Campus Community >Service Indicators >Person >Manage Service Indicators
      and
      Use the Find page to locate the student’s record; or
    • If already viewing a student record page in SIS (e.g. Add Update a Person), and service indicator icons are visible (red 'No' symbol=negative and red star=positive), select desired icon.

      Tip:    If you navigate using an icon, the Manage Service Indicators page displays with the Display Effect filtered by ‘Negative’ or ‘Positive’ based on the selected icon. Otherwise, the Display is ‘All’. To change, select Effect and select Refresh.
  2. Find the specific service indicator you wish to view
    and select its Code link.

  3. View record
    and when done, select [Cancel].

    Tips:
    - The View Service Indicator page displays with view-only fields indicating service indicator records you cannot modify.
    - Scroll to bottom of page to view Services Impacted including enrollment, records, etc.

  4. If another [Cancel] button displays, select it to return to the page you were on.
  5. To search for a different student, select [Return to Search] and [Clear] ID.
