This document describes a potential problem printing the 2012 ETF Statement on a computer running Mac OS X and Adobe.
This issue occurs only with the statement that was issued in 2012, which is found in the Benefit Information app in MyUW. The app should appear on the MyUW homepage for employees; if it does not, search for "Benefit Information". On the search results page, either launch the app or add to home for easier access in the future.
The statemet is located under the Statements tab of the Benefit Information app, as shown here:
This statement is downloaded to your computer as a PDF file. Users running Mac OS X may experience an error when attempting to print the PDF from Adobe Reader or Acrobat. This error is likely due to a formatting issue that affects Adobe only. As a workaround, users should open and print the ETF Statement in Preview, which is the native PDF-viewer for Mac OS X.
If you have your computer configured to open PDFs in Adobe by default, you will need to do the following to open the file in Preview:
- Locate the saved ETF Statement PDF file on your computer.
- Control + Click on the file, then select Open With > Preview.
