Office 365 - Can I continue to use my current email address?

Overall identity management structure is currently being reviewed, but it has been decided that customers will have the choice to retain their current email address(es).

Updates (2/6/2014):
  • You will be able to continue to receive email at your current address. You will not lose incoming mail.
  • Those who have existing sub-domain based email addresses (ex:,, will still be able to use those email addresses to send and receive mail, dependent on which email address structure each school, college or division selects within the new system.

Updates (4/7/2014): Default email address format. In short, school deans and directors have been authorized to decide if their school will be required to make the change to using first.lastname email address format as the primary address.
