Web Hosting - Log File Access

This page describes the purpose of log files and the processes by which users can access them.

About Log Files

The most common uses for log files are as follows:

  • Generating custom web traffic reports
  • Reviewing activity on your site
  • Debugging errors in web applications

The Plesk control panel provides you with real-time log file access for your Windows/IIS or Linux/Apache based site.  Log files roll over and are available going back one year from the present date.

NOTE: You can also access logs via your Secure FTP connection.  The logs are located in /logs folder at the same level as your /httpdocs (web site) content.
