Is it possible to earn academic credit for military service?

The following section provides information to L&S undergraduate students who have served in the US military on the possibility of earning academic credit.

Can a student who served in the US military earn academic credit for this military experience?

Up to six (6) credit hours can be awarded to students who successfully serve in the United States military.  The credit hours awarded are based on equivalent instruction offered by the Reserve Officer Training programs on campus.  Students who wish to be considered for the credit hours must contact Army ROTC on campus and ask to meet to have their records reviewed.    No credit hours are awarded for foreign (non-US) military service.
