What does the Tech Store sell for Personal Purchase?
DoIT sells Apple and Dell computers to UW-Madison faculty, staff, and students with a valid ID. If you are a student, you must be enrolled in a course of study leading to a degree or certificate. Departments are able to purchase items too, see: What does the Tech Store sell for Departmental Purchase? to find out how to purchase departmentally.
Apple computers can either be purchased as standard models through the Tech Store, or as custom builds through the Apple Custom Builds site. Faculty, staff, and students can purchase Dell custom build computers through the Dell Personal Sales Program or standard models through the Tech Store.
Students, faculty and staff are eligible to purchase software from the Tech Store. Only students, and faculty/staff currently on UW payroll are eligible to purchase WISC (Wisconsin Integrated Software Catalog) products. Retired and Emeritus faculty and staff, and employees on UW Hospital payroll may purchase some software titles within this program, but are not eligible for Adobe products at this time. The WISC program offers popular software titles at discounted rates to the UW system. If you are eligible to purchase WISC products, you may purchase either through the WISC site or in person at the Tech Store.
Software site licenses are limited to departmental sales only.
