Help Desk Hours

The CAE Help Desk is here to provide information and help you resolve problems that you encounter with CAE resources. The Help Desk is staffed by students, called Consultants, who are available to help you. Due to COVID-19, staffing at the help desk is limited. Voicemails may not be returned in a timely fashion. The best way to contact the CAE help desk is through email (helpdesk@cae.wisc.edu) or the contact page https://www.cae.wisc.edu/contact/.

There are a number of ways to contact the CAE Help Desk, which is located in room 116 of the Computer Aided Engineering building(1410 Engineering Drive). You can call the help desk at 262-5349, email the CAE consultants at helpdesk@cae.wisc.eduand of course walk-in visits are welcome.

The Help Desk is generally staffed during the following hours (see above regarding COVID-19):

Spring and Fall Semester:
Sunday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Summer Semester:
Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Saturday Noon to 5:00 PM
Sunday Noon to 6:00 PM

Intersession (between Spring/Fall and Summer):
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday Noon to 5:00 PM

Spring and Winter Break Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday Noon to 5:00 PM

The Help Desk will be closed the following holidays:
New Year's Eve, New Year Day, Martin Luther King Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (closed at 6 the day before Thanksgiving), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Please note that staffing may be limited around holidays and breaks.
