Help Desk Hours

The CAE Help Desk is here to provide information and help you resolve problems that you encounter with CAE resources. The Help Desk is staffed by students, called Consultants, who are available to help you.

There are a number of ways to contact the CAE Help Desk, which is located in room 116 of the Computer Aided Engineering building(1410 Engineering Drive). You can call the help desk at 262-5349, email the CAE consultants at helpdesk@cae.wisc.eduand of course walk-in visits are welcome. Please note that the 'official' building hours are M-F 7AM to 8PM and closed on weekends, but you can enter the building by scanning your WisCard at the card reader near the door. 

The Help Desk is generally staffed during the following hours:

Spring and Fall Semester:
Sunday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Summer Semester:
Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Saturday Noon to 5:00 PM
Sunday Noon to 6:00 PM

Intersession (between Spring/Fall and Summer):
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday Noon to 5:00 PM

Spring and Winter Break Hours:
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Saturday and Sunday Noon to 5:00 PM

The Help Desk will be closed the following holidays:
New Year's Eve, New Year Day, Martin Luther King Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (closed at 6 the day before Thanksgiving), Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Please note that staffing may be limited around holidays and breaks.
