Learn@UW - Creating Grade Items and Categories

Grade Items hold the grade for a specific item (such as a quiz.) Categories provide a means of organizing grade items into different groups. You must be an instructor of a course to create grade items or categories.

Calculated: The calculated column type lets you select a number of existing grade items to calculate a cumulative total of students scores.
