UW Digital ID - Customer - Cancelling an Existing Request for a One Time Password (OTP) (for either a fob or smartphone)

This document will summarize the process for cancelling an outstanding Digital ID request for a fob or smartphone application.

1. Go to https://uwdigitalid.wisconsin.edu/ in your web browser and log in by selecting your campus and entering your institutional login credentials

2. Click on the My Digital IDs link in the lefthand menu

3. You must have an outstanding request in order to be able to click it. (The request must be in the "Submitted" or "Credentialed" status.)  If you do not see anything under My Digital IDs and you expect something to be there, please close your browser entirely including all tabs and then re-enter the site

4. Click on the request you wish to cancel

5. The ID Request summary screen will appear then within the shaded box in the upper right corner labeled "Available Actions" click on the Cancel button

6. When prompted Are you sure you want to cancel this request? click the Yes button

7. If successful you will see the message Your request has been cancelled

8. Fully exit the browser (including any other open windows for that browser) before making a new request
