Accessing XenApp from Linux via Firefox

To access XenApp on Linux requires the Firefox Web Browser to send a user agent string that makes it look like it is running on Windows

XenApp is now able to use html5 without needing to install a specialized client.
This is only supported by Citrix on certain browsers and operating systems.

We have, however, had limited success accessing XenApp from Linux using Firefox, if the "user agent string" is changed from the default.

There are many plugins for firefox that let you change the user agent (for example look here
here.

If the plugin uses pre-set strings, try to use one specifying Firefox verion 11 or larger using the Windows or Macintosh OS X Operating system.

Otherwise s
imply setting your user agent string to "Firefox/23.0 for the Win" will work.

N.B. Something similar may work for Google Chrome. Also, some applications may render very slowly.
