Learn@UW - HTML Editor Controls
The HTML Editor displays a interface with drop-down controls to access some of the functions. This document provides an overview of this interface and shows where to find the editing controls.
Press the 'Show All Components' button to display the remaining controls on a second row (and further rows if needed):
Pressing the button again will hide the controls not displayed on the first row.
Among all the controls are eight drop-down controls used to bring up menu items to select various functions that are not displayed as buttons.
The first drop-down ① to the right of the 'Insert Quicklink' button brings up a menu to insert a symbol, line, or attributes.
The second drop-down ② to the right of the 'Underline' button brings up a menu to strike a line through text or make subscripts and superscripts.
The third drop-down ③ to the right of the 'Unordered List' button brings up a menu to create an ordered list or control alignments.
The fourth drop-down ④ to the right of the 'Apply Color' button brings up an interface to select the foreground color of text.
The fifth drop-down ⑤ to the right of the 'Insert/Modify equation' button brings up a menu to create an equation using the Graphical Editor, MathML, or LaTeX.
The sixth drop-down ⑥ to the right of the 'Insert/Modify table' button brings up a menu to make changes to the selected table.
