Case Scenario Critical Reader - Authoring - Attaching Actions - Send Report (UW-Madison)

Please refrain from developing new CSCR modules. UW-Madison is moving to the Canvas LMS. While CSCR modules can be loaded into Canvas courses, they cannot be connected to the Canvas gradebook. A team from the Teaching and Learning Technology Advisory Group (TLTAG) created a recommendation for alternate tools that you can see here. Members of the transition team would like to meet with you to help you select the solution(s) that best meets your needs to move your content. Please let us know when we can best assist you by completing this form or contact the designated instructional technologist for your school or college.

Note: This feature has been deprecated and is no longer maintained or recommended. For tracking data please take a look at Integrating CSCR with Moodle

The "Send Report" Action allows students to send their score achieved in the application to the Instructor. The instructor will fill out the server information in the settings page, attach an action to an object - most often a button object. When students click this, a pop-up will appear where they can enter their name, this will email their name and score to the instructor.

The email reporting feature is a simple web utility designed to work with content generated from the authoring tool. It allows content authors to log-in and enable a reporting endpoint that can receive results from quizzes and activities and email those results to themselves. It requires a PHP package for 5.2 or 5.3 to be hosted on your server.
