Canvas - AlcoholEdu Course [UW-Madison]

This document describes how to complete the AlcoholEdu course in Canvas.

About AlcoholEdu

First-year students and transfer students at UW-Madison are required to complete the AlcoholEdu course, provided by University Health ServicesThis course is available from within the Canvas learning management system.

If you are one of these students, you must complete AlcoholEdu by the required deadline. You may have an enrollment hold placed on your student record, if you miss the completion deadline. This would prohibit you from enrolling in courses for upcoming terms. You will receive email notifications with instructions, completion deadlines, and warnings about any enrollment holds that may be placed as a result of non-completion.

If you have questions about the completion requirements, or have other questions about the program, contact alcoholedu@uhs.wisc.edu or visit the program website. Only first-year students and incoming transfer students are enrolled in the AlcoholEdu course.

Find and Complete AlcoholEdu

  1. Log in to Canvas using your UW-Madison NetID credentials.
  2. In the red navigation column on the left, select Courses, then select the AlcoholEdu link for the current semester. 
  3. Follow the completion instructions within the course. 

System requirements

The content for AlcoholEdu is delivered on a platform called EverFi. Please visit this website for details about system requirements for using EverFi, including recommended browsers.
