UW-Madison Box - Compatibility Issues with Internet Explorer 11
This document describes known compatibility issues with Internet Explorer 11 and Box.
Users attempting to access the UW-Madison Box app with Internet Explorer 11 may receive an email message with the subject Box login from "Windows Unknown Browser". An example of this message is included below:
Additionally, the Box Edit app is unavailable when using Internet Explorer 11. The icon will be greyed out, and hovering over it will reveal the message "Your current browser mode does not support Box Edit." For both issues, enabling IE's Compatibility Mode does not appear to correct the problem.
Box technicians are currently working to resolve the issue. In the meantime, users should access Box with an alternative browser, such as Firefox. For a list of currently supported browsers, please see: UW-Madison Box - Recommended Browsers and Operating Systems.
