Office 365 (Outlook 2011) - Creating a private event

This document explains how to create a private event in Outlook 2011. For others with permission to view your calendar, only the date and time of a private event will be visible.

  1. Create a New Appointment in the Outlook 2011 calendar. See Office 365 (Outlook 2011) - Create a meeting or appointment for a complete guide.

  2. In the appointment details, include all of the information you would like to see. Click Private near the upper-right corner.

  3. Save & Close the appointment. Remember, for others with permission to view your calendar, only the date and time of a private event will be visible.
