Office 365 (Outlook 2013) - How to export archived email

How to Archive your email and save the file to your computer from Outlook 2013

  1. From Outlook 2013 open the File tab from the top left hand corner of your screen.

  3. Open Cleanup Tools and select Archive.

  4. Archive option

  5. Select the Folder you'd like to Archive. In this case we are using the Inbox. Then select the appropriate date for the Archive items older than. This will include any file in this folder before the date selected. Then choose Browse to select a location to store the file.

  7. Choose the location to save the file. We have chosen Desktop for this example. Than assign a name to the Archive file. Here we use Bucky B archive 2014. When done hit the Ok button.

  9. Notice the file name change. Select Ok to create the file.

  11. Navigate to your desktop to find you new Archive file.

  13. You can now take this file and save it to a flash drive or another location for use with import into another Email client.
