Outlook 2011 - Saving Attachments

This document will provide guidance on how to download and remove attachments from Outlook 2011 emails.

  1. Open Outlook 2011.

    Open Outlook.

  2. Double-click on the email message containing the attachment that needs to be saved.

    Email Message.

  3. Right-click on the attachment, then select Save As. If there are multiple attachments that need to be saved select Save All.

    Save Attachment.

  4. Select a location for storing the selected attachment(s), then click Save.

    Attachment Destination.

    Note: If the desired location is not listed within the "Where" box, click on the down arrow next tot he "Save As" box to select any location you have access to.

  5. Return to the message containing the saved attachment, right-click on the saved attachment, then select Remove. To remove multiple attachments select Remove All.

    Remove Attachments.

  6. Click Delete.

    Delete Attachments.

  7. The attachment(s) is now removed from the selected email message.
