Office 365 - Email Account Consolidation Policy

This Office 365 Executive Policy explains the account consolidation processes and issues for students, faculty and staff.

Non-Student@sub-domain Consolidate all sub-domain accounts with the Non-Student@wisc.edu account Accounts should be consolidated
Student@sub-domain Student@sub-domain Creation of Service Accounts for student employees in Office 365


Recommendations

  • The campus NetID@wisc.edu account will remain the same.
  • All Faculty and Staff will be assigned a 'Firstname.Lastname@wisc.edu' email address. 'Firstname.Lastname@wisc.edu' will be the recommended primary email address on that account. Students are not required to reserve a new 'Firstname.Lastname@wisc.edu' email address.
  • Role based accounts will be maintained.
