If you have searched for someone and his/her name does not appear in the ARROW application, please review the following steps.
Check whether the person has a NetID and password
A UW-Madison NetID is required to log in to ARROW. A registered NetID is also required before someone will appear in the ARROW application. To check whether someone has a NetID, search for that person on the NetID lookup page or call DoIT at 608-264-4357.
Register the NetID in ARROW, if necessary
All UW-Madison faculty, staff, and students are eligible to obtain a UW-Madison NetID. You may already have one and not know it. As a first step toward troubleshooting a NetID problem, contact a local support person in your department. They will likely be able to walk you through the process of logging in, or determining whether you have a NetID, or activating your NetID. The list of registered users in ARROW is regularly updated. If, however, someone has just obtained a new NetID and password and is not yet appearing in ARROW, please use the Register NetID activity (found in the main study workspace) to register the user in ARROW. This activity only needs to be used one time to register someone in ARROW.
Verify that personnel are being added to the correct page of the application
If you still have trouble finding someone, please ensure you are adding them to the "Study Team" page under 3.1 or 3.2 rather than the "Study Team: Roles" page. Personnel must be listed on the Study Team page before they can assigned specific roles.
Take additional steps as necessary if adding external personnel/personnel external to UW-Madison
