ShareURL - Viewing Availability with a Public ShareURL in a Web Browser

The easiest way to view someone's availablity, regardless of whether they are using Office 365 or WiscCal, is to utilize their Public ShareURL.

The first thing that needs to be done is to verify if the user has a Public ShareURL available. To do this, type https://calendar.wisc.edu/share/u/bbadger@wisc.edu into the address bar of your web browser. Substitute in their email address for bbadger@wisc.edu.

If the Public ShareURL exists, you will see a page that displays the user's meetings for the day in a list form. It will appear something like this:

If it does not exist, you will see a yellow box with an error message reading The share you have requested does not exist.

If it does not exist, you will need to email the user to request that they configure their Public ShareURL.

To navigate between days, click the arrows along the top. This will display the next day if you click the arrow on the right, or the previous day if you click the arrow on the left. It will only display the day selected. Find an available time by reviewing this data and then schedule an appointment at the time identified.

It is possible to view several days at once. You can add a specified date range to the end of their ShareURL. To do this, type: https://calendar.wisc.edu/share/u/bbadger@wisc.edu/dr(-14,30) into the address bar of your web browser. This date range will display 14 days into the past and 30 days into the future. When viewed it wil show all events that fall during that date range.
