DARS - Service Description

This document gives an overview of DARS (Degree Audit Reporting System, web-based). It is divided into the following sections:


DARS is a web application that allows students and advisers to view DARS reports. Students and advisers can track academic progress towards the chosen degree, certificate, or program. It also gives the option of performing "what if" reports, tracking the academic progress towards a new degree, should a student consider switching majors.

Support Conditions

The DoIT Help Desk Provides support for DARS users who meet the following conditions:

  • User is a student or advisor.
  • User has a valid NetID.

  • Students can find DARS in My UW-Madison in the Student Center module. It is located in the "Academics" section under "Academic History" in the left-hand column.
  • Advisors can find DARS at https://dars.services.wisc.edu/dars/.
