Create a New Program - Summary of Steps

Creating a new program in CSIS can be done one of two ways: by creating a program from scratch or by "cloning" or copying a program from a previous instance. The are two main steps to creating a program: the Financial Planning Form (FP) and the Instruction Form (IF).

Use the "Actions" Tab to create a new program.

After choosing "Create a New Program," you will see this screen:

The “guide” on the far right of the screen is for reference – listing each coordinator or program area that is assigned a range of program numbers.  You can edit this guide by selecting the button at the bottom.  Sometimes, depending on your screen, you need to scroll down the screen to see this button.  This is an example of the Continuing Studies ranges.  Each department using CSIS can create their own ranges depending on unique business practices.

Once a new program is created-either by starting from scratch or cloning-the program will appear in the program list is “draft” status-both for marketing and administrative status.  A Financial Planning Form will launch after you create or clone a new program.  Or to access the Financial Planning form in later sessions, choose the “F” to the far left of the program to start a Financial Planning Form.

After creating the Financial Planning Form for a program.  The next step is to create the Instructional Form (IF):  The Instructional Form (IF)
