Presenting with i>Clicker and Powerpoint

The i>Clicker tool bar does not mirror while projecting in "Presenter View" in Powerpoint 11 (Mac) or 13 (Windows).

Powerpoint for Mac and Windows (11 and 13) offers a "Presenter View" when projecting via an LCD projector.  This means viewers see the slide view projected while the speaker sees the "Presenter View" on his or her computer.

The i>Clicker tool bar cannot not controlled via the mouse when it floats over the viewer slide.  It can only be controlled via mouse in the "Presenter View."  This means viewers would not be able to see a poll start or stop, see the time limit, or view the results.

There are two workarounds presenters can consider:

1)Float the tool bar and the results window over the viewer slide.  Use the instructor remote to control the tool bar.
2)Do not present in "Presenter View."  Instead present in Mirror view.  This mirrors the presenter's computer and the projected image and allows the presenter to control the i>Clicker tool bar, and display results on both screens.
