This document explains the options and information in the Page Menu at the top of each WiscWeb CMS page.

WiscWeb CMS - Page Menu

Upon selecting your project, with the "Select Project" drop down button in the top right corner of your WWCMS Manager, you will arrive to the Page Menu while in SmartEdit.

You may navigate back to the Page Menu by clicking the SmartEdit tab.

Your Website

This is where you will find the link to your project's displayed home page, as it would be viewed by any regular visitor, and where you will be able to edit it directly.

Help Options

  1. E-mail CMS Support
    • E-mail CMS Support whenever you encounter an issue with WiscWeb CMS that's directly having an effect on your work productivity, or that of others.
    • Clicking on this option will bring up a window within the WWCMS Manager page will be brought up, and will have 3 sections. A description box, image uploader option, and 3 different priority options.
    • Notice that there is an "Urgent!" priority option. Please note that "Urgent!" Priority is only a case where you deem the issue to stem to all other WWCMS users, or being that your case is an emergency that might scale into an event that puts work productivity to a halt. You usually, if never, select the "Urgent!" priority, and should just leave it alone.

  2. Chat DoIT Help Desk
    • You can initiate a Live Chat with DoIT Help Desk whenever encountering technical difficulties
    • Clicking on this option will bring up an entirely new window outside of the WWCMS Manager page, and will have 4 sections that are required to be filled out in order to initiate Live Chat.

    • Notice that you would have to call the DoIT Help Desk whenever your issue pertains to password resets and forgotten NetID's.

  3. 608.264.HELP (4357) (DoIT Help Desk)
    • Call the DoIT Help Desk local phone number in regards to any technical difficulties you face, and which you would ultimately have to contact if you are in need of resetting passwords or your NetID.
    • Clicking on this option will not bring up any new windows or tabs. It will not direct you anywhere.

    • The KB Search Bar can be used for bringing up Documents, regarding WiscWeb CMS, in another tab.
