Campus Active Directory - ARS - Getting Started with ActiveRoles Server

Campus Active Directory can now be managed with the new ActiveRoles Server (ARS) tool. This document helps users get started with this new tool.

Please note: The ARS service is being sunset on December 23rd, 2019.

What is ActiveRoles Server (ARS)?

ARS simplifies Active Directory (AD) management by providing an intuitive, secure web interface and Application Programming Interface (API) for Active Directory. ARS is currently being run in parallel with the existing native Microsoft tools currently used on campus for AD management, but in the future ARS will replace the native tools.

Who can use ARS?

CADS customers may connect to ARS via the web interface, the Quest ARS Microsoft Management Console or Quest PowerShell cmdlets installed on a Windows computer.
