IF-Program Categories

The next step in Instructional Form creation is the Program Categories tab.

The choices of program categories or specialties are populated by your choices in the Financial Planning Form.  However you will notice additional information to the right of the Specialties regarding "Interest Codes."

The interest codes are defined in the system and used to select participants and inquiries related to a particular program or subject area.  Codes are defined by the use and can be connected to subject areas.  Currently the setup of the interest code table and code relationships to specialties must be done by the programmer.

When a subject area is chosen for a program, the list to the right will populate with the list of interest codes related to that program area as defined in setup.  If a program is "cloned" or copied, the choices made for interest codes in the source program are also cloned by default.

You can uncheck choices and add choices if you wish.  Keep in mind that anyone who registers for this program will automatically be assigned your selected interest codes.  If codes you wish to select do not appear in the initial list, click the "View All" button at the top right corner of the interest code box, to see ALL interest codes assigned in the system.

Click the Program Categories tab to save this information and move to the next screen.
