Office-ionados are students who assist UW faculty and staff in the use of a new campus email and calendaring solution, Office 365. Office-ionados will provide the majority of their support in person, but will also offer support via chat and email. The Help Desk will provide all necessary training for the use of Office 365, as well as training in customer service and any additional requirements.
This position presents opportunities to provide campus-wide in-person support. As departments transition to the use of Office 365, these trained support specialists will assist customers on-site. This offers students unique and varied work environments, co-workers, and customers.Traveling to and from different campus buildings is required for this position as Office-ionados will be working with departments; thus, work locations may change on short notice and will vary from week to week.
- 70%: In-person Office 365 Support
- 20%: Chat and Email support for general campus software, including Office 365
- 10%: Training on all necessary services and software
