Every Moodle course page is outlined with links to all resources and activities for that particular course.


Access courses from the My Course Link block on UW-Madison Moodle and on all course pages.


The Course Page is the home base for online courses, where students can find the guidance, tools, and resources that are needed for course participation.

 Site navigation links ("breadcrumbs") are across the top.

In the center, weekly lessons are outlined with direct access to the course overview, lesson files, forums, assignments, and other course materials and resources.

Course Outline

The Calendar includes all assignment due dates and scheduled conferences.

The Course Links block provides directs access to Blackboard Collaborate (web conferencing), UW-Madison Box (online storage), Wendt Commons Library, My UW, and EPD eHelp.

Moodle Course Links Block

The My Course Links block in the right column is used to navigate to other course an community sites.

Quickmail is an email system that is internal to Moodle and provides a quick way to send messages to course participants.

Quickmail Block

User Profiles is the source of contact information for students and faculty and includes preferred modes of contact, bio information, and a current photo. It is important to keep information up to date so the fellow students and EPD staff and instructors can always get in contact with the student.
