Office 365 (Outlook on the web) - Configure an account to auto-reply and forward

There are times where you need to configure an account auto-reply to incoming messages and to also forward these messages to another account. The instructions below will guide you through the process for doing this.

Note: UW-Madison Office 365 team does not recommend placing a forward on an account. We have seen instances where incoming messages may not forward to the destination account(s).

During our testing of these features, we found out that if a forward was set at the account/mailbox level, the auto-reply would not be triggered. The forward must be set using the "inbox rules" feature.

Configure auto-reply and forward
