How to run "Account Fixer" when having problems with Linux

At times your screen may lock while logging into a Unix machine.

If you are unable to Log in or unable to run programs, you may want to run these tools. 

The following tools can fix certain problems with your Linux/Unix account.

NOTE: These tools may cause some of your personal settings to be reset.



How to Use "Account Fixer" from a Unix machine:


At the Log in prompt, collapse the "Last Session" tab




Select "Account Fixer"






How to Use "Account Fixer" from a Windows machine:


Navigate your browser to "www.cae.wisc.edu"

Select the "CAE Account Management" link




Select the "Account Tools" link 



Select the "Account Information" link




Select "Linux Setup" link





Run the "Account Fixer" tool(s)
