MyUW - Release Notes - 2015-04-07
The 2015-04-07 MyUW release launched UW-Madison preferred last name, upgraded the UI library in some HRS-related apps to fix the pager and earnings amount showing checkbox on mobile devices, and fixed a broken link in the UW System Career Opportunities app.
MyUW ( my.wisc.edu ) change : preferred last name
UW-Madison users can now set a preferred last name (beyond the previously available options to set a preferred first and middle name). ( MyUW - Student Personal Information, My UW-Madison - Personal Information Module )
My UW-System ( my.wisconsin.edu ) change : fixed UW System Administration Employment Resources link
In the UW System Career Opportunities app, the UW System Administration Employment Resources link had been broken. This link is now fixed.
Change affecting both MyUW and My UW System : upgraded paging and checkbox components in HRS-related appsSome of the HR-related apps are fixed so as to function as intended at narrow screen widths and on mobile devices.
Specifically, it had been difficult to check the "Show earnings dollar amounts" checkbox in the Payroll Information app on mobile devices under some circumstances, and that problem should be greatly reduced with this release. Likewise, the paging control for stepping through pages of tables (e.g., the Leave Balance table in the Time and Absence app) had been jumbling up, looking and acting goofy under some circumstances. That problem also should be greatly reduced with this release.
In general the HR-related apps (including Time and Absence, Payroll Information, and Benefit Information) should be modestly more responsive and less glitchy on narrow and mobile browsers while continuing to look and feel largely as they did prior to this release.
