Academic Integrity

As a UW-Madison student, it is your responsibility to be informed about what constitutes academic misconduct, how to avoid it and what happens if you decide to engage in it. Academic misconduct is governed by state law, UWS Chapter 14.

Disability Accommodations

In compliance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Section 504, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, professional support staff is available at UW-Madison to facilitate a comprehensive range of academic support services and accommodations for qualified students with disabilities. Students who wish to request an accommodation for a disability should contact the instructor for their course and coordinate with the McBurney Disability Resource Center.


FERPA, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended, is a federal law that governs the privacy of student educational records, access to those records, and disclosure of information from them. Religious Beliefs Accommodation

The UW System Board of Regents' policy states that students' sincerely held religious beliefs shall be reasonably accommodated with respect to scheduling all examinations and other academic requirements. Students must notify the instructor within the first three weeks of the beginning of classes (or within the first week of summer session and short courses) of the specific days or dates on which they will request accommodation from an examination or academic requirement.
