Course Quizzes Report
Course quizzes is a custom plugin written by Teaching and Research Application Development group within Academic Technology. It allows you to manage questions in more of a repository format, that also allows you to print questions, as well as add questions directly to a quiz from the repository.
Getting to the report
As an instructor, you will be able to find this report within the Course administration section and then in the reports drop open section. Clicking on this will take you to the main report page.
Using the report
The main page has three main parts:
- Category filter
- Action buttons
It will start with 'top' selected. This will show all of the questions you have available in Moodle. By clicking on the box you can select sub categories and filter the questions that are displayed below in the Questions section.
There are 2 action buttons that allow you to do 2 different things. First, you will need to select questions from the categories list below them for the action buttons to work.
Print Questions Action
Printing questions will allow you to print the selected questions to screen. From there you can print the open popup to a PDF or to a printer to be able to review the questions.
Note: Please note that some question types are interactive, and because of that, there is no clear way to print them out. Questions of these types will appear just as they would initially appear for students within Moodle.
Add to Quiz Action
On this page you will see all of the questions you selected on the previous page listed at the top. Below you will see a list of all of the quizzes that are currently in this course. Clicking the "Add" button in front of any quiz will create a copy of the selected questions inside that quiz. This means that if a questions is edited later in the quiz itself, it won't change the question in the question bank.
