CAE utilities for using openpdk45

How to use the CAE freepdk45 utilities

freepdk45_install

Once you have obtained the FreePDK45 tarball (available from: http://www.eda.ncsu.edu/wiki/FreePDK45:Contents ) you may install it by running:

freepdk45_install <filename.tar>

This will place the library in your home directory inside ~/cadence_libs/

freepdk_start_project

When you start a project that will use the freepdk45 files, you will need to copy a few files into your project directory.

You may do this by running:

mkdir <project_name>
cd <project_name>
freepdk45_start_project

freepdk45_init

When you are going to run cadence tools using the freepdk45 files you will need to first set some environmental variables.  You can do this automatically by typing:

. /usr/local/bin/freepdk45_init

You may wish to copy this to your project directory by doing:

cp /usr/local/bin/freepdk45_init .

Then you can simply type:

. freepdk45_init

in your project directory before you run cadence tools
