CCI Private Cloud - Default Networks Available to a Virtual Machine

VMs in CCI Private Cloud can be provisioned on the following networks:

Default networks

  • VLAN 3025 (default)
    • This is the default shared network on which customer VMs are provisioned. This network does not offer load balancing services. By default, all customers have access to this network.
    • This subnet cannot be accessed from machines off-campus.
    • Subnet: 10.128.254.0/24
    • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    • Gateway: 10.128.254.1
    • IPv6 Subnet: 2607:f388:2:6003::/64
  • VLAN 95
    • This network does not offer load balancing services. 
    • This subnet's default firewall ruleset does not allow incoming connections from machines off-campus.
    • Subnet: 128.104.50.0/24
    • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    • Gateway: 128.104.50.1
    • IPv6 Subnet: 2607:f388:2:1::/64

Custom networks 

  • VLAN 96
    • This network offers load balancing services. Customers must request access to this network.
    • This subnet's default firewall ruleset does not allow incoming connections from machines off-campus.
    • Subnet: 128.104.50.0/24
    • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
    • Gateway: 128.104.50.1
    • IPv6 Subnet: 2607:f388:2:1::/64

  • VLAN 93
    • This network does not offer load balancing services and has a very restrictive default firewall ruleset.
    • Customers must request access to this network.
    • Subnet: 128.104.221.0/25
    • Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.128
    • Gateway: 128.104.221.129

To request the ability to provision VMs on non-default networks or to request changes to the default firewall ruleset (52058) email cci-virtualization@wisc.edu or contact the DoIT Help Desk with your request.

To request that a specific Distributed Datacenter Network (DDN) be made available to your business group, email cci-virtualization@wisc.edu or contact the DoIT Help Desk with your request.

CCI Private Cloud Incident Reporting

  • Customers should contact the DoIT Help Desk to report an incident or check the outages page for an CCI Private Cloud incident.
  • Formal support is provided for CCI Private Cloud during business hours only. After-hours support is best effort.

CCI Private Cloud Technical Support

  • Customers should contact the DoIT Help Desk or email cci-virtualization@wisc.edu with support requests.
  • CCI Private Cloud technologists will respond to all support requests by the end of the following business day.
