R25 (Resource 25) - Client
R25 Client application is used by a small group (about six people) of Curriculum Services administrators to assign rooms for upcoming events and classes. Public access to room scheduling is through the Webviewer where requests are made, then approved and finalized through the client.
Lead tech for the client and the webviewer is Dan Cash, email@example.com, 26 3-6903.
All R25 administrators who use the client will contact Dan or the SYSTEMS ENGINEERING AND OPERATIONS department of DoIT if they have problems.
A person calling the Help Desk for problems with the R25 client is almost certainly not authorized to use it.
The R25 client is used during business hours only, except for busy times just before semester breaks. Problems that arise in its use are usually due to network or database outages and can't be fixed at the user's machine. The client software itself resides on a DoIT server and is remotely run by administrators in Curriculum Services.
The webviewer https://classrooms.services.wisc.edu/wv3/ is not considered a 24/7 critical component. If it goes down after business hours it will be repaired the next business day.
