What is required for delivery of all UW-Madison courses?

All courses must:
• have a syllabus
• have learning outcomes
• have a qualified instructor
• follow the credit hour policy
• have content that is appropriate for and aligned with the title, level and course description regardless of mode of instruction
• have requisites that are enforceable (if any)
• meet the requirements associated with any attribute attached to the course (e.g. Comm-B, Ethnic Studies, Grad Attribute, Breadth etc.)
• follow the approved grading scheme
• have a plan for instructional times; the instructor must meet the instructional commitments for the course
• meet standards for verifying identity of students; requirements met by use of the standard LMS for other than face-to-face instruction
• communicate how the course will be delivered using the “instructional mode” feature; use standard “class notes” when appropriate
