Overview of the CALS VoIP transition
DescriptionCALS will be participating in the campus-wide transition from the current Centrex system to a VoIP technology using Cisco and AT&T. CALS intends to transition to this new service in phases throughout the next 12-18 months starting with a few Administrative units. (CALS IT Office, Business Services, Research Division) The project team expects to work cooperatively with CALS Department/Center Chairs/Directors and other key personnel during the transition aiding in equipment selection, procurement and setup/configuration. The CALS project team will serve as the intermediary between CALS departments and the campus VoIP project team to ensure a successful and painless transition.
