Moodle - Archive your work as a student (UW-Madison)

Note:

UW-Madison has adopted Canvas as its single, centrally supported learning management system. As of 6/1/2018, support for Desire2Learn (D2L) and most Moodle courses has been discontinued. Access to those courses has permanently ended. However, certain Moodle courses that are part of the Adanced Quizzing Content Functional Gaps project are still available on Moodle. Those courses are located on the Moodle Extension site.

Archive your work in a Moodle course as a student

Students in Moodle courses are able to export their submissions and their forum discussions to their portfolio. These exports can be downloaded as a file, or uploaded to Box or Google Drive. Student grades and quiz answers are not able to be exported by students.

Download Assignment Submissions

Moodle has the ability to download user submissions for an assignment. If you go the assignment where you have submitted a file, there will be a option under your submission for "Export to portfolio". You can export the submission as a file download, or you can export to Box  or Google Drive.

Download Forum Discussions

A student is also able to export their replies to discussions in forums. Under the forum post that is desired to be exported, there will be an option to "Export to portfolio", as shown below.  You can export the post as a file download, or you can export to Box or Google Drive.
