Windows 10 - Using the Search Function

The Search feature of Windows 10 allows you to search your hard drive for files.

  1. On the bottom left hand side of the screen, click the bar that says "Type here to search"
  2. Start typing your search query. Notice as you type, search results will update as you type more.
  3. When you see the item you are looking for click it to open the item in the appropriate application.

If no file or application results are located for your query, clicking the 'Best Match' query will search the internet for your query.
