Bucky on Parade was a free public art event that brought 85 life-size Bucky Badger statues to the streets of Madison and Dane County from May 7–September 12, 2018. Local and regional artists transformed these Bucky statues into unique works of art.

The Madison Area Sports Commission was the producer of the event, with support from the Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau and in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Wisconsin Athletics, and Wisconsin Foundation & Alumni Association. Event proceeds supported Garding Against Cancer, Madison Area Sports Commission, and other community charities.

After the parade, statues that were already owned by a sponsor were cleaned up and moved to their final home with the sponsor. 30 statues were available for auction at The Bucky on Parade Finale Party on September 29, 2018. You can find a list of Buckys that were up for auction here.

You can see photos of each statue on their website, here. The statues were placed throughout downtown Madison and the UW-Madison campus, as well as some in other areas of Madison and Dane County. Some Bucky statues are now on permanent display. You can see a list of those, and their locations, here.

Additional information, including FAQs, can be found on the Bucky on Parade website.
