The Division of Recreational Sports offers programs in four different indoor facilities and on 63 acres of outdoor field space. Pick up more detailed information and schedules at the facility of your choice.
Club Sports provide a more in-depth sport experience that may include instruction, practice, and competition with other colleges and universities.
Fitness programs include cardio, step, water and total body conditioning classes, and circuit training rooms at the Southeast Recreation Facility (SERF) and Natatorium/Gym Unit II (The Nat).
Open Recreation (Informal Sports) is the opportunity to participate in unstructured physical activity such as lap swimming, weight lifting, or basketball.
Instructional programs are offered to orient our new users and nonusers to the variety of fitness activities available to them.
Intramural Sports and Special Events provide a variety of competitive sport opportunities.
Recreational Resources for persons with disabilities is a collaborative referral effort designed to enable those with a disability to participate in recreational activity.
UW-Madison students can access all facilities by showing their current valid University ID card. Additional fees are required for court time at Nielsen Tennis Stadium and Open Hockey and Recreational Skating sessions held at the Camp Randall Sports Center Ice Rink.
UW-Madison regular and affiliate faculty and staff who possess a current valid university ID card must pay the Recreation Access Fee to use any Recreational Sports facility. Additional court fees are required for court time at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. An additional membership fee for faculty and staff is also required to use the Track/Court area at the Camp Randall Sports Center.
