What is the difference between my personal meeting room and a schedule meeting room?
Your Webex Personal Room is your own virtual conference space that you can use for meetings anytime.
Your personal room number can be found by going to Meeting in the menu bar then Information once you launch the personal room. This number never changes.
A scheduled Meeting Room always has a unique URL and you can join a meeting in many different ways.
You can join the meeting from the email invitation link when you created the meeting or go to uwmadison.webex.com, login (upper right corner -"Sign In or Log In"), and select Webex Meeting TAB, then My Meetings on the left hand side.
Or you can also launch Webex Meeting App and click on the Calendar Tab, select Only See Webex Meetings and your meeting will be listed there and click Start.
Some individuals just use their Personal Meeting Rooms for all meetings and don't schedule a Meeting Room. This allows them to stay in this room after each meeting. (don't have to leave a meeting to start another meeting). However, it is good practice to "Lock" your room after the meeting starts so that at the next meeting time individuals don't wander into the end of a meeting they aren't suppose to be in.
If you have sensitive information being shared at the meeting then scheduling meeting rooms versus using your personal room may be a good practice.
