The mission of Illumination is to provide the undergraduate student body of the University of Wisconsin-Madison a chance to publish work in the fields of the humanities and to display some of the school's best talent. As an approachable portal for creative writing, art and essays, the diverse content in the journal will be a valuable addition to the intellectual community of the University and all the people it affects.

To submit art, short stories, poems, essays and 1-2 page descriptions of outreach projects, please register and log in to the Open Journal Systems site. Specific submission directions can be found on the Submissions Guidelines page or under the "About" tab after logging in.

Open Book Cafe on the first floor of College Library has approximately 30 artworks on display by Illumination members. Each semester they host an open mic poetry and prose event in the Open Book Cafe.
