The State Capitol hosts the Governor's office, the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the chambers and offices of both the Senate and the Assembly, and the Capitol Police. The modern building was designed by architect George B. Post (1837 - 1913) in 1906. Call the Legislative Hotline for information regarding meetings, hearings, legislators, etc. at the State Capitol. The Legislative Hotline will take messages for Senators and Representatives if you reside in the district. If not, they will be able to refer you to the correct number.

Anne Tonnon Byers was elected Sergeant At Arms on January 3, 2011 and also serves as Assistant Chief Clerk to the Assembly.

There are daily tours scheduled on Monday-Saturday at 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on the hour. On Sunday tours are at 1:00 p.m.-3:00p.m. on the hour. Memorial Day - Labor Day a 4:00 p.m. tour is added.
